Back from Camp!
Anyway the camp is over so I shall post something about it. For those curious, it’s just a camp lar. Activities wise the camp is quite boring honestly due to the tight schedule which led to lack of sleep and also got many talks and very little play games session lar. But it is not totally bad because you get to interact with many people from many different schools and a chance to find some long lost friends.
Quite unlucky didn’t manage to find any long lost friends (Which is 1 of my 2 main motives for even joining this in the first place, the other is to skip 1 week school and regain my energy but too bad the camp is not relaxing). As usual I’m back to my usual anti-social quiet self. I dun noe how my camp mates view me but they are a good bunch of people overall. I guess I just dun noe how to communicate well haha but nvm.
I am not sure if I should post about my experiences in the camp here, Maybe I will. By editing this post in a future date. Nobody is interested so I can take my time :).

Sad Start
- Very nice, same class with many ex classmates on day 1 & presented well too.
- Didn’t install the files required for the day 2 problem because I thought of formatting my notebook. That led to me being quite clueless for the whole day. Since I didn’t work on the problem, I decide to put some extra work in preparing the presentation slides instead but I can’t complete it since my team didn’t finish the problem in time. Finally, submitted RJ through LEO but RJ is not saved despite the system telling me that it did.
- Doing the compulsory self evaluation for day 3 at night keep giving me error. Also happened is something sad which I prefer not to say here.
- After 2 days of severe downgrading = No morale for day 4.
There is 1 thing I’m sure me & many others do noticed is that it seems that almost everyone in year 3 is so sort of hyper active now. I also noticed a big sharp increase in knowledge of fellow students as compared to year 2 in the sense that almost everyone is kind of like a genius now somehow where they already knows the solutions to the lesson problem right after the first meeting. I think I’m gonna get lots of Cs this semester. I guess all these happened is due to the FYP and also due to the fact that year 3 is the time where students get to choose their specialised area of study. The area where they had the most interest in & also probably their strongest area or maybe it’s because of some other reasons.
For me & a few others that isn’t the case. I chose the wireless specialisation simply because I don’t know what specialisation suits me best. I just toss a dice & choose it as the dateline for choosing is running out. Wireless is no doubt my weakest area. I know totally nothing about it. I didn’t even own a mobile phone until the middle of last year (forced by my parents) & even then I switch it off almost all the time as I dislike mobile phones. I’m still wondering if I should have chosen what I feel as my best area instead.
Seeing that I’m now lacking so behind all my classmates. I know I’m dead for sure this semester. I can’t even remember what I learnt last time. Just hope I could scrape through this semester again.

Format Attempt Failed
After school, I go to the help desk & as I approach it. I somehow changed my mind. It’s kind of like don’t know how to say. I just suddenly realise I can’t bare to format the notebook. There are possibly lots of precious files that could be just gone even though I did do a very through backup. Plus by formatting I seem to be washing my notebook of it’s memory. It seem unethical.
In the end I didn’t format. Relieved or not? I don’t know.

Missing School Uniform Days?
Hmm, after the O’levels, many students choose their next path mainly with considerations like say – their future ambitions in mind. But how many students actually choose their next school base on 1 thing: the precious chance to wear a school uniform for possibly the last time for about 2–3 years? It’s something worth pondering about.
Yes, I do miss the school uniform days after entering a polytechnic & this remind me of a great song called 二十二岁的心情 by Singaporean singer Hong Shao Xuan (I hope I don’t get his name wrongly.) & it’s really a nice song since I mentioned it. I tried to find the disc that contain the song but couldn’t find it. A search on Google & YouTube returned either 0 results or complete irrelevant stuffs.
I finally managed to find the disc today! I’m going to listen to the song & type out the lyrics below since I can’t find the it on the web. I hope I don’t type the lyrics out wrongly :).

Boring As Usual
After getting bored of reading, I have decided to play some computer games. Having only about 1 to 2 games in my computer, which are mainly sports games, obviously I got bored too.
I am so bored that I am writing such a boring entry too. Bye.

My Sister Never Ending School Problems
It appears that during her team presentation on their project proposal for a compulsory computing related module that all students regardless of course need to take. Some particular team that is very skilled in computing stuffs, for some reasons best known to themselves, decide to cause my sister’s team troubles as they keep asking questions, giving comments about how bad they feel the proposal is & such. In the end, it turns into some huge spirited discussions with my sister worrying a lot as her whole team only had very basic computing knowledge like surfing The Internet for example. Luckily, as the spirited discussions heats up, the attacking team kind of overstepped their expertise area & went into some advanced mathematical stuffs & my sister’s team, having 2 extremely talented project mates in mathematics, took the opportunity to counter back & end up causing huge shame to them. The professor stopped the presentation around that time.
I think my sister has been rather unlucky in her past 1-2 years of university, just last year alone, she had two incidents that severely affected her grades. One of them caused by some weird project mate, who virtually never participate in the project at all & during the final presentation, finally appeared & shouted vulgarities & so on to anybody who attempted to ask questions. Thus ruining the whole team efforts, especially when grades were given on a team basis. It does puzzle me on why there were such students who do not even mind his own grades being affected at all as long as he could sabotage somebody. For the second incident, some project mates plagiarised & the whole team is penalised heavily. My sister & some of her project mates who did not plagiarise did perform some checks on their own but did not manage to find anything suspicious. They tried to explain it to the committee but it seems to be ignored unfortunately. Who simply just replied with they should have checked their fellow project mates works for plagiarism, which they did :(. There were just too many resources available in the world. Sigh…
Judging from what my sister’s experienced, it seems to me that a university is not such a nice place to be in but I guess that not my worry since I do not think I could even make it to university at all. =)
